Green Pakistan Initiative GPI: Inauguration of Green Agri Mall in Kandai & Chapu, Cholistan.
The inauguration ceremony of Green Agri Mall & Service Company, Smart Agri Farm, and Agri Research and Facilitation Centre was held at Kandai and Chapu, Cholistan.
Dignitaries Present: The event was attended by Chief Minister Punjab, COAS, and other federal and provincial ministers.
Objective of Green Agri Mall.
To provide a one-stop solution for farmers, offering high-quality seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and fuel at controlled rates.
Services Offered.
Rental farming machinery, drones, and laboratory services will be provided to facilitate farmers.
Smart Agri Farm.
Established on 5,000 acres, utilizing modern agri techniques and High Efficiency Irrigation Systems to maximize crop yield.
Agri Research and Facilitation Centre.
Provides agri and technical input, connecting with research and academic partners nationwide.
Land Allotment.
Land allotment letters were handed over to next of kin of shuhada and war wounded families.
Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI).
- Aims to introduce contemporary best practices in Pakistan’s agriculture sector.
- GPI Projects: 4.8 million acres of land identified for agricultural purposes, with 0.9 million acres already allotted.
- Future Plans: 250 more Green Agri Malls to be established.
