ASELSAN Unveils Cutting-Edge Warfare Systems at IDEF 2025: A Leap in Multi-Domain Defense Technology
Türkiye’s premier defense technology company, ASELSAN, has made a significant impact at the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, unveiling a new generation of warfare systems aimed at redefining modern battlefield capabilities. The new lineup; GÖKTAN, KORAL 200, EJDERHA, GÜRZ, and TURAN, showcases ASELSAN’s growing emphasis on electronic warfare, AI-driven autonomous defense, precision strike, and tactical communications.
GÖKTAN: Smart Precision Strike from the Ground Up
The GÖKTAN system stands out as a long-range ground-based precision strike platform. Outfitted with TOLUN-S smart munitions, it offers 360-degree engagement with multi-target tracking and engagement capability. Designed for day-and-night, all-weather operations, GÖKTAN is deployable across various mobile tactical platforms, enabling greater operational flexibility and battlefield survivability.
KORAL 200: A New Standard in Electronic Warfare
KORAL 200 marks a major leap forward in mobile radar electronic warfare systems. The system integrates Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) into a single NATO-compliant solution, optimized for rapid deployment and networked operations. KORAL 200 enhances electromagnetic spectrum dominance, offering both offensive jamming and defensive countermeasures, critical for disabling enemy radar and protecting friendly forces.
EJDERHA: Directed Energy Counter-UAV System
As drone threats proliferate, ASELSAN introduced EJDERHA, a high-power electromagnetic system designed to neutralize mini and micro UAVs using directed energy. Unlike traditional jammers, EJDERHA disrupts drone electronics permanently, offering precision targeting with minimal collateral damage. The system is trailer-mounted and can be rapidly deployed, ideal for mobile forces and perimeter defense.
GÜRZ: AI-Driven Unmanned Air Defense
GÜRZ is a very short-range air defense (VSHORAD) system equipped with onboard artificial intelligence, enabling autonomous or remote operation. The system is integrated with ASELSAN’s HERİKKS and HAKİM command and control networks and is designed to detect and engage low-altitude threats including UAVs, helicopters, and short-range missiles. Its smart fire control system enhances reaction time, especially in complex airspaces and saturated threat environments.
TURAN: Tactical Communications on the Move
TURAN addresses the critical need for secure, mobile communications in contested and congested zones. It delivers high-speed encrypted voice, video, and data transmission for brigade-level units moving through urban or open terrains. TURAN seamlessly interfaces with both military and civilian infrastructure, enabling flexible and reliable command-and-control connectivity even under electronic warfare conditions.
ASELSAN’s Vision for Future Warfare
Speaking at the unveiling, Ahmet Akyol, President & CEO of ASELSAN, emphasized the company’s strategic mission:
“With nearly 50 years of expertise, ASELSAN continues to develop cutting-edge solutions that meet the challenges of the modern battlefield. These new systems reflect our commitment to supporting our allies with superior technologies that ensure operational dominance across all domains.”
This statement encapsulates ASELSAN’s philosophy; innovate locally, impact globally.
Conclusion: Shaping the Future of Defense Tech
The systems unveiled at IDEF 2025 reflect ASELSAN’s ambition to become a leading exporter of next-generation military technologies, particularly in multi-domain operations (MDO). With capabilities spanning AI, electronic warfare, precision munitions, and counter-UAV systems, ASELSAN is not only meeting NATO interoperability standards but also shaping the doctrines of future warfare.
These developments position ASELSAN as a critical player in regional and global defense ecosystems, contributing to national security, technological independence, and alliances across the defense-industrial spectrum.
