Saudi Arabia Launches Ramadan Iftar & Dates Distribution Program in Pakistan
Saudi Arabia has launched the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Iftar and Dates Distribution Program in Pakistan for the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative aims to support tens of thousands of deserving individuals, including poor families, widows, and orphans.
Inauguration & Implementation
The program was inaugurated by Pakistan’s Religious Affairs Minister and Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki. It will be conducted throughout Ramadan in all provinces of Pakistan, providing essential food items to those in need.
Distribution & Beneficiaries
- 20 tons of dates will be distributed to 40,000 individuals.
- 30,000 people will benefit from the Iftar meal program.
- The initiative is part of King Salman’s humanitarian efforts for Pakistan and several other countries.
Symbol of Saudi-Pakistan Brotherhood
The Saudi ambassador emphasized that this program reflects the strong bond of brotherhood and goodwill between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Religious Affairs Minister also expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s continued humanitarian support.
Pakistan-Saudi Ties & Additional Aid
Saudi Arabia is home to over 2.7 million Pakistani expatriates and remains Pakistan’s top source of remittances. The two nations share deep trade, defense, and diplomatic relations.
Recently, Saudi Arabia also gifted 100 tons of dates to Pakistan ahead of Ramadan. The consignment was handed over at a ceremony in the Saudi embassy in Islamabad by Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki. This initiative reinforces Saudi Arabia’s commitment to humanitarian support and strengthens its historic ties with Pakistan.
